The Sandler Factor
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (DPI) - Jack Nicholson was the first to throw down
the gauntlet in what has now become Hollywood's most dangerous game,
Adam Roulette -- seeing who can co-star with Adam Sandler and still
walk away with a career. Early reviews of Anger Management
predict just minimal damage to Nicholson's stock, solidifying his
reputation as perhaps the greatest living actor of this generation.
The bar has been set. In a show of unmitigated machismo, other top
thespians are risking it all and quietly vying for their shot at
greatness. Rumors are surfacing that Tom Hanks will co-star with
Sandler in a vehicle with the working title, The Angry Toilet.
Edward Norton's camp is releasing few details about The Farting Game.
In perhaps the gutsiest move, Nicole Kidman is talking openly about her
Sandler collaboration. Different Kind of Love will see the Oscar
nominee play a World War I nurse who falls in love with Sandler's character, a
British corporal who's had his privates shot off. Vegas odds-makers
insist that it is statistically impossible for every career to survive.
To that end, many top agents representing Hollywood's elite are hedging
their bets and quietly getting their real-estate licenses.
