Apple Announces New iPad
CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA (DPI) - Apple Computers introduced its new iPad
handheld writing device Monday, calling it "a quantum leap forward
in the information-storage field." At a press conference at the company's headquarters,
CEO Steve Jobs said, "This is a breakthrough we think our followers will truly appreciate.
The new iPad is unique in that it can perform an infinite number of operations and is compatible
with nearly every third-party writing implement."
The iPad can be used to do math, take notes, draw or doodle on, and
it is reported to be nearly 99.99% crash-free.
It has been ergonomically engineered with the revolutionary
"wrist-and-elbow" swivel arm which allows the iPad to be used and viewed
in an almost infinite number of positions. Although currently only available in canary yellow, it is
expected that a full range of "flavors" will be available soon. The iPad
and accompanying stylus will retail at $99.95.
