Advice from Strangers

This week's guest: Patty in MCI Customer Service
Dear Patty,
Skunks are really making a big mess out of my back yard this year. What can I do?
Grubby in Greenfield
Dear Grubby,
Your call is important to me.
Tall and tan and young and lovely,
The girl from Ipanema goes walking,
And when she passes each one she passes goes "a-a-ah!"
When she walks she's like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gentle
That when she passes each one she passes goes "a-a-ah!"
Oh, but I watch her so sadly
How can I tell her I love her?
Yes, I would give my heart gladly,
But each day when she walks to the sea,
She looks straight ahead not at me
Tall and tan and young and lovely,
The girl from Ipanema goes walking,
And when she passes I smile, but she doesn't see,
She just doesn't see, no she doesn't see.
Dear Patty,
My girlfriend's son is almost 16 and he's been hinting pretty strongly
about how he'll be needing a car. I'm a firm believer that you should earn
the money and buy your own car, that you'll appreciate it and take care of
it if you do. My girlfriend thinks I'm a childless idiot and that I wouldn't say
that if he were my biological son. What do you think?
Signed, Hot Wheels
Dear Hot Wheels,
Your call is important to me.
Just you and I
Sharing our love together.
And I know in time
We'll build the dreams we treasure.
We'll be all right, just you and I.
Just you and I
Just you and I
Sharing our love together
And I know in time
And I know in time
We'll build the dreams we treasure.
We'll be all right,
Just you and I.
And I remember our first embrace,
That smile that was on your face,
The promises that we made.
And now, your love is my reward
And I love you even more
Than I ever did before.
Just you and I
Just you and I
We can entrust each other.
With you in my life
With you in my life
There'll never be another.
We'll be all right,
Just you and I.
And I remember our first embrace,
That smile that was on your face,
The promises that we made.
And now, your love is my reward,
And I love you even more
Than I ever did before.
We made it you and I.
