Culinary-Minded Travistan Declares
"Cheesy Potato Thing" National Dish
TRAVAMABAD (DPI) - The Nation of Travistan today declared a newly invented
casserole-type dish a National Heritage Food, the first creation to be so
honored in the apartment-nation's short history. Composed of some sliced
potatoes, a can of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup and a 1-inch nub of
cheddar cheese left over in the fridge, the casserole was described as
"pretty damn good" by beaming President Travis, intently watching a hockey
playoff game. While the official recipe is not being revealed, the dish is
believed to contain some of that Vietnamese chili sauce with the picture of
the chicken on the bottle and at least seven ingredients from the spice
rack, which were carefully selected by smelling to make sure they weren't
too "frou-frou." President Travis refused to comment on reports of a
dish-related environmental mess in Travamabad's Kitchen District.
