Travistani President in Hysterics Over Funny Street Sign  TRAVAMABAD (DPI) - Nation of Travistan President Travis was described by
aides as "doubled over" and "busting a gut" over a photo he took of a funny
street sign while on an Official State Weekender. The photo, recently back
from the developing desk at Longs Drugs, clearly shows that the street's
name is "PEE," according to the still-chuckling President Travis, speaking
from the presidential Corolla in Longs' parking lot. While a dubious group
of Hawaiian-language "experts" represented by his wife insist that the
street's name is actually "Pe'e" and pronounced peh-eh, President Travis
reportedly holds the firm stance that "pee" is a lot funnier. "My only
regret is that she [the Travistani first lady] didn't let me get out of the
car at the corner of 'Pee' and 'Poipu,' because she didn't want to be seen
with me at a busy intersection, taking a picture of the funny sign," said
the leader of the sovereign apartment-nation, shaking his head. "Because
'Poipu' sounds like something you'd have after eating too much poi," he
added, again falling into a fit of laughter. This past weekend's sighting
launched the nation's largest celebration of sign-related mirth since last
year when the president suggested that "Bürpenfahrt" would be a funny name
for a street in Germany.
