This Week in Rushville
Ready to show your patriotic side? Harlan Fletcher, Sr., has invited the
entire city to an "Up With America, Down With THEM!" rally at his
property on Route 15 this Saturday. Coffee and juice will be served
courtesy of the American Legion. Harlan encourages everyone to
wear the patriotic colors of red, white, and blue. Entertainment is to
be provided by the Legion Men's 32nd Bagpipe Division beginning at 1:30pm.
Rushville High senior Tonya McKardle went to Indiannapolis last Thursday
to test drive new Trans-Ams. Sounds like someone might get to pick out
her own Christmas present this year.
Kudos for the Rushville Community Players for mounting their production
of the play "Annie Get Your Gun" at the Rushville Methodist Church. It
was a hysterical farce -- don't miss it next year. Special mention goes to
Christopher Marks, who took over the part of Annie when Alicia Montgomery took
ill with the flu, and turned in an astonishing, very believable performance.
Girls, better snap up this eligible bachelor before Hollywood discovers him!
Stan Grunfeld is still waiting for that call from you-know-who.
Menu for this week's Sunday Dinner at First Baptist Church:
Turkey with all the trimmings.
(Reported by Hiram "Hi" Carter.)
