Fifth "Teletubbie" Added to Popular Childrens' TV Show
MANCHESTER, ENGLAND (DPI) - Teletubbies, the children's show that teaches children around
the world about values and culture, has set another milestone. After the show introduced
the concept of tolerance toward sexual orientation with the character Tinky-Winky and set
off a firestorm of debate, the producers have put themselves back in the court of public
opinion with the introduction of Bin-Bin, a fanatical extremist who supports terrorism
on innocent victims.
"Bin-Bin is a very real part of a child's world, as they identify with feelings of misdirected
rage, intolerance and mindless violence starting around the age of 2. By introducing Bin-Bin,
we hope to give children a character to help them understand and deal with these feelings,"
producer Mary Scott told The Probe.
In an upcoming episode, Bin-Bin will attempt to execute Tinky-Winky for homosexuality
in a soccer field, have La-La executed for "looking upon Po with lust",
then attempt to blow up the Sun Baby for giggling too loudly.
